Hepatitis
virus is the group of viruses that cause disease named "HEPATITIS-inflammation
of liver cells". This group contains different hepatitis viruses
i.e. Hepatitis A Virus, Hepatitis B Virus, Hepatitis C Virus, Hepatitis
D Virus, Hepatitis E Virus, Hepatitis F Virus, Hepatitis G Virus.
Hepatitis A Virus, Hepatitis C Virus, Hepatitis D Virus, Hepatitis
E Virus, Hepatitis G Virus is single stranded RNA retrovirus while
Hepatitis B Virus is double stranded DNA retrovirus. Once the virus
enters in the human body, they enter in the liver and begin to reproduce.
The body attacks the infected cells, which cause the liver to become
inflamed.
> The hepatitis A and E viruses first enter
the gut and begin reproducing. They spread
to the liver and multiply in liver cells.
> Hepatitis B, C, D, and G enter the
bloodstream; when they pass through the liver, they
enter liver cells and begin to reproduce. The body attacks the infected
cells, which causes the
liver to become inflamed.
