BIOINFORMATICS
RESEARCH LABORATORY (BRL)
BRL is a nonprofit
entity established to build bioinformatics infrastructure and promote
bioinformatics research, product development, education. BRL's goals
are to help advance biological research and technology and create
jobs in research and industry through promotion of bioinformatics.
BRL provides
advanced bioinformatics and computational resources for investigators
in the academic and industrial sectors. Researchers have access
to bioinformatics tools, genomics and proteomics databases, supercomputing
resources, bioinformatics training, and bioinformatics consulting
through BRL. BRL is researching appropriate hardware, middleware,
and networking structures for state-wide analysis and data-sharing
in bioinformatics projects. A key role of the center is to enhance
communications and help establish collaborations between academic
and industry members in the other IBI cores, since bioinformatics
touches all of these groups. Please explore our web site for more
comprehensive descriptions of our programs.
