Candida glabrata Genome Database (CGGD) is a scientific database of the molecular biology and genetics of the yeast Candida glabrata, which is a pathogenic yeast.It is next to the Candida albicans species in causing the Candidiasis disease in human beings and is virulent in the cases of immunocompromised humans.

Genome View;
The Candida glabrata genome contains 13 haploid chromosomes and 1 mitochondrial chromosome. Here we give the berief details about each chromosome. this data was taken from the NCBI/GenBank.

Candida glabrata Genome Database (CGGD) is an ongoing project conducted by IBI BIOSOLUTIONS Pvt. Ltd. in its Bioinformatics Research Lab. The project has taken a year for collecting the raw data and annotating the proteins of Candida glabrata Strain CBS138.

This project aims were to;
identify all the approximately 6000 - 8000 genes in Candida glabrata Genome, determine the sequences of the 12MB base pairs that make up yeast’s DNA, store this information in databases, improve tools for data analysis, and address the ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI) that may arise from the project. The project is ongoing and analyses of the data will continue for many years. An important feature of the CGGD project is the company’s long-standing dedication to the transfer of technology to the private sector. By licensing technologies to researchers for innovative research, the project catalyzed and fostered the development of new medical applications.
