This
Database system provides the background informations and results
of Comparative Genome Analysis of Apple Mosaic Virus strains; RNA1,
RNA2, RNA3 and Apple Leaf Chlorotic Virus strain P863.
The complete nucleotide sequences of apple mosaic virus RNA 1,
2 and 3 apple chlorotic leaf spot viruses strain P863 have been
characterized. Apple mosaic virus RNA 1 is 3476 nucleotides in length
and encodes a single large open reading frame (ORF), whereas apple
mosaic virus RNA 2 is 2979 nucleotides in length and also encodes
a single ORF and apple mosaic virus RNA3 is 2056 nucleotides in
length and encodes two ORFs. While apple chlorotic leaf spot viruses
strain P863 is 7555 nucleotide in length and encodes three ORFs.
The amino acids sequences encoded by apple mosaic virus RNA1, RNA
2 and RNA 3 show similarity to the amino acids sequences encoded
by apple chlorotic leaf spot viruses strain P863. Apple mosaic virus
RNA 3 and apple chlorotic leaf spot viruses strain P863 have close
relationship in the movement protein and coat protein, but not with
the replicase of apple chlorotic leaf spot viruses, putative polymerase
of RNA 2 and putative methyl transferase of RNA 1. This study is
based on the comparative analysis of protein coding genes in these
viruses to identify the actual functionality and phylogeny. We also
identify some short ORF sequences in these viruses and report them
with there putative functional annotations. Complied data can be
freely access from http://www.quickmt.com/projects/apple_virus/analysis.htm
We
start our analysis with the identification of ORF's in these organism's.
The ORF search was performed by using the NCBI/ORF Finder.
